How many times have you heard someone say "when I have that, I'll be happy", or seem ever in pursuit of that perfect time? The result - constantly striving for tomorrow without living in today.
So what happens when there is no tomorrow? What happens when we look back and realise it has been one big chase, without appreciating the very things we spent our time around?
Happiness is the appreciation of what we have, where we are, and how we feel. In the same way that a flight may be the start of a holiday (rather than waiting to get to the hotel), where we are and what we do here and now, form a huge part of our lives. In fact, as you are reading this now - there is nothing else, what has happened has gone, and what is to come is not guaranteed.
So now is the time to be happy - our ongoing journey, not just when we settle down beside the pool
“Happiness is not a destination, it’s a way of life.”
