Walking down Oxford Street in London this week, I'm amazed how festive it's looking already and it's still October! It's telling me that Christmas is coming and that I need to be thinking about it. Those tempting offers will appear leavings us feeling we might be missing out of we don't take a closer look.
Think about the supermarket shop in the run up to Christmas last year. Long queues of bulging shopping baskets at the the tills. How many times have we commented on the apparent panic buying all because the shops are closed for a day?
That sense of anxiety will just intensify as the big day approaches unless I succumb or take action.
Well, there may be a smarter way of getting ready for Christmas without leaving you with a financial headache in January...
the sooner you start prepping, the less stressful December will be. Sort out everything you need to do before the big day, and break it down into manageable chunks that can fit in with your other commitments. If you're a fan of making lists or spreadsheets, this is your moment - just don't forget to stick to them.
