It seems that eating Marmite is good for the brain!

Now, some of my global readers may not have a clue what Marmite is.  It is a dark, savoury spread which is generally put on toast with butter, or in sandwiches.  For many, just the smell and taste takes them straight back to childhood - Marmite sandwiches in my Granny's back garden, such a wonderful flashback.  To others however, the taste is repulsive, they cannot abide the stuff!

Love it or hate it, it appears that it can actually keep your brain in good shape due to the high levels of vitamin B12 which "regulates the delicate balance of activity needed to maintain a healthy brain', according to a study by the University of York.

The impact of this, is that feelings of fear and anxiety can be reduced, and also suggests that dietary changes could have a long term effect on the function of the brain.
