Well, actually I am not, but that is how the song went in the Sound of Music.
There seemed a delight in the song that Ralph and Lisa were both growing up, and they wanted to grow up even quicker - wishing their time away.
I guess at times, we are all guilty of wishing for something else, rather than embracing the here and now - those precious moments which pass in the blink of an eye.
Of course, in the film, Ralph's enthusiasm to grow up leads him into the military, and then is faced with some very difficult decisions, which, perhaps blinded by his new found authority (from moving from post boy to soldier) causes him ultimately to betray his love for Lisa.
It's great to look forward, to plan ahead, to wish for change, and at the same time, it is essential to embrace the moment, the here and now - the only real thing, and truly live those moments.
Actually, it’s about YOU
